Why don’t you give a fly fishing book this time to someone on your gift list? Most people really like the thoughtfulness of a fly fishing book whether they fish for trout or not.
I am not a fly fisherman but I have two books that I read over and over. One is Harry Middleton’s Rivers Of Memory and the other one is A River Runs Through It by Norman Maclean. I like these books not so much because they are about fly fishing but because of the way the authors string the words together so that you become a part of the story; you are there, lost in the tales and time.
There are a lot of other good books about fly fishing so find one and give it as a present to a special fisherman or fisherwoman on your list. It will make an impression!
